Rudi Lissau (1911-2004) was a life-long pupil of Rudolf Steiner. Born in Vienna, he left Austria in 1938 after the annexing of the country into Nazi Germany. He taught at Wynstones School near Gloucester in the United Kingdom for many years. Rudi was a popular lecturer and writer on Rudolf Steiner’s social ideas.
His book Rudolf Steiner: His Life, Work, Inner Path, and Social Initiatives, published with Hawthorn Press, was praised by Saul Bellow as “a very lucid, warm-hearted and judicious account of anthroposophy which I read with gratitude and pleasure”.
