Jake Lynch

Jake Lynch, PhD (City University, London) is Associate Professor in the Discipline of Sociology and Criminology at the University of Sydney.

He has taught Peace Journalism to students of Journalism and Peace Studies at universities around the world. He has led training workshops for editors and reporters in many countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Indonesia, the Philippines, Nepal, the Middle East and the Caucasus. For this work, he was awarded the 2017 Luxembourg Peace Prize, by the Schengen Peace Foundation.

Jake has also worked as a professional journalist (anchor for BBC World, political correspondent for Sky News, Sydney correspondent for the London Independent newspaper).
