Brian Patten

Brian Patten in one of Britain’s best-loved poets. He made his name in the 1960s as one of the Liverpool Poets, alongside Roger McGough and Adrian Henri.  He has written numerous collections of poetry for both adults and children alike.

Patten’s version of Jumping Mouse, the Native American folk tale, was originally published in 1972, Jumping Mouse is hailed as a ‘small masterpiece’ (Charles Causley). This is a revised edition, illustrated by Mary Moore, the daughter of the sculptor Henry Moore.
