Adriaan Bekman

Adriaan Bekman studied Sociology, specialising in Business Administration at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. He worked for 27 years at the NPI institute for Organisation Development, founded by Bernard Lievegoed and his colleagues. Bekman is a founding father and director of IMO – Institute for Human and Organizational Development, whose mission is to support the development processes in organisations.

‘Our organised, functional world has, in my opinion, an urgent need of re-imagining the soul. The questions that we personally struggle with may not find new answers if we cannot find new, conscious relationships to the human soul, especially in work situations where we are oriented toward results and production.’
