Join us for an engaging evening as Professor Paul Rogers and Judith Large present their new book The Insecurity Trap: A Short Guide to Transformation in a thought-provoking talk.
The Insecurity Trap succinctly lays out key crises threatening our world today: climate catastrophe, the erosion of the UN’s legitimacy, the decline of global multilateral cooperation, and the growing tendency to favour military over diplomatic solutions. But don’t despair, there are effective ways in which we as individuals, groups and communities can respond and fight to change the trajectory of our world.
Hosted at Lansdown Hall & Gallery in Stroud, the event will be chaired by sustainability campaigner and author Jonathon Porritt, who will guide the conversation and facilitate a Q&A session. In addition, Dr Simon Opher MP will offer a response, sharing his insights on the book’s themes and implications. This is a unique opportunity to delve into the pressing issues discussed in the book: the insecurity trap and how to break out of it.
The event is ticketed and will take place on Friday, 15 November 2024, from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM at Lansdown Hall & Gallery, located at Lansdown, Stroud, Gloucestershire.
