The Scottish charity Edinburgh International Centre For Spirituality and Peace (EICSP) warmly invites you to an online zoom forum with Paul Rogers.
Professor Paul Rogers will present some of his latest research, followed by an hour of Q&A with the audience. You will be able to ask him questions about the talk and also about his wider research. The event will be chaired by Simon Barrow, writer, commentator, educator and researcher.
Paul Rogers is an Emeritus Professor of Peace Studies at Bradford University and an Honorary Fellow of the Joint Service Command and Staff College (JSCSC). Originally trained as a biologist, he lectured at Imperial College and then worked as a plant pathologist in Uganda and Kenya. Returning to the UK in 1970, he taught environmental science before joining the Peace Studies programme at Bradford University in 1979 to work on environmental security and then peace research.

Paul is interested in how the causes of international conflict change over time. He’s particularly interested in the link between social and economic divisions and global warming. He has written or edited some thirty books, including Losing Control. His work has been translated into many languages, including Chinese, Japanese, Russian and Farsi. His latest book, The Insecurity Trap: A Short Guide to Transformation, written with Judith Large, was published by Hawthorn Press this November.
An Evening with Paul Rogers will take place on Wednesday 20 November 2024 from 7pm to 9pm.
